Basket weave is a jelly roll pattern and features in our book 'New Ways with Jelly Rolls'. You need a large 90° angle to make your large quarter-square triangles and any 90° triangle can be used, as long as it measures at least 6½in from the top of the triangle to the base line as that is the measurement you need. We used the Creative Grids Multi-Size Flying Geese & 45/90 ruler.

There is no wastage as we used the off-cuts to create a bonus quilt which you could enlarge and make into your backing for your quilt - instructions for the bonus quilt also included in the pattern.
