On return from Portland Spring Market
We have just come back from Portland Spring Market. Quilt Market is a huge American trade show, twice yearly, where we go to find inspiration for new ideas and have sneak previews of all the new fabric lines that will be due in the coming months. We do a lot of our buying for the shop and catalogue there so it really is an important trip. We saw masses of new and exciting patchwork and quilting ‘stuff’ which is one of the main reasons for starting up this blog. Once we thought of that then we realised that actually we could share lots more bits and pieces with everyone, for example, sneak previews of fabric ranges, freebie patterns, introducing all the girls that work for us…….the list goes on……. We would like our blog to be interactive with all our customers so if you have any information that you’d like us to feature or possibly write about then please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
This market was especially important to us as we were launching our book ‘Jelly Roll Quilts’ there. The picture below was taken at the end of our trip where we’re drinking some very well earned cocktails!!
Mandy Shaw (pictured on the far left) has also brought out a great new book ‘Quilt Yourself Gorgeous’. If anyone knows Mandy, you’ll know that she has a highly infectious and bubbly enthusiasm for all things gorgeous and her book is GREAT with loads of fun projects.
