Feedingsheep

We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Nicky arrived down in Cornwall on Tuesday after spending her first Christmas in her new house.

Here I am introducing her to some of the sheep. She hasn't been down here for ages and this is her first meeting with them. They are all so friendly and the weather being so cold and icy they seem to be appreciating their sheep nuts even more!

We did have to do some work however as we received the first pages for editing of our book Two From One Jelly Roll Quilts which had to be done by 6th January. We had the log fire going so it didn't really seem like work as we sat around the kitchen going through it all. It is really looking good and it seems such a long time until July before you get round to seeing it too.

Here is a picture of Nicky with husband Rob and Rob's daughter Natalie plus Inky with her three daughters Penny, Millie and Dot. For those who have visited the studio you will know Millie but my three are kept safely out of the way as they are nowhere near as well behaved as Millie. It has been such great weather for lovely long walks and the dogs certainly appreciate them.

Now for a very exciting project we have been working which I will be telling you more about in the coming weeks. We are going to be launching a JELLY ROLL SAMPLER BLOCK OF THE MONTH. The quilt is made and both of us are amazed that we actually made it from only one jelly roll. We were lucky enough to have been sent by Moda a new jelly roll which is not out until March. It is by Blackbird Designs and is called Garden Path. Now for the even better news – we are going to be posting the blocks on line for FREE. I will give you more details in the next week or so and by that time Nicky will have finished quilting it so we can also post a photograph of it. Now isn't that exciting……
