The weather has taken a turn for the worse again and we are having to give the sheep some extra hay. We are not getting anywhere near as much snow as other areas but the heavy frosts are making it difficult for them to get to the grass. They seem to like the hay so I don't think they will suffer.

4plyglove And while we are on the subject of sheep Liz has come up with another pattern for us. This time she has used some of our 4ply wool to make these very snazzy striped gloves.

We have had lots of lovely comments from people who have made the fingerless gloves from our double knitting wool. If you haven't knitted for a while they are great – not too difficult and very trendy at the moment!

I'm not the greatest knitter but I have made the fingerless gloves and I now feel confident enough to try the gloves. I love the soft feel of the 4ply wool and I am determined to get a pair made as soon as possible. The kits will be in the shop and on the website shortly.

Yes we have had our Christmas party – we all look a bit the worse for wear here but it's the only photo I've got!

Please note that The Quilt Room closes at 1pm on Friday, 24th December and re-opens on Tuesday, 4th January when it is our SALE which lasts all week ending on Saturday 8th January.

So it just remains for me to say on behalf of Nicky and all the girls at The Quilt Room……
