Block by Block Machine Quilt as You Go is a quilt first, then assemble technique. This is a brand new and exciting course which will boost confidence and achieve a huge amount of satisfaction when machine quilting a large quilt using your domestic sewing machine.
Over the course, you will learn to sew and quilt as you go, how to assemble your quilted blocks and how to add borders to an already quilted top using your overcast foot. This foot usually comes with your machine and often sits there unused and gathering dust - we will show you what a great sewing foot it can be!
You will also learn a variety of machine quilting techniques using sewing feet such as the walking foot, the free motion foot and the popular ruler foot. You will be shown how to use quilting rulers with the focus on the brilliant Taj ruler designed by the renowned quilter, Angela Walters.
The seven sessions are a chance to practise and add to your machine quilting skills. The techniques and tools you will learn about will enable you to make machine quilitng a much more satisfying process.
At the end of the seven sessions, not only will you have made a beautiful quilt, you will have increased your sewing and quilting confidence and gained new techniques for assembly of your quilts.
